The Client
All3Media International is the creator, producer and distributor of world-class television programmes and digital content. Headquartered in London, the Group comprises 28 companies and has production companies and distribution offices around the world – in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore,I New York and Los Angeles.
All3Media International is the distribution arm of the group., delivering popular, award-winning TV programs to over 1,000 broadcasters and media platforms around the world.
It’s extensive catalogue contains over 15,000 hours of content across all genres such as the top-selling drama series Midsomer Murders, award-winning comedy Fleabag, the long-running series with Gordon Ramsay, and the global format Gogglebox.
Background
In 2017 All3Media International did not have an efficient Distribution System. Key operations relied on third party service facilities which handled the company’s catalogue and managed all media ingestion, QC, transformation and delivery operations according to instructions from the All3Media technical operations team.
All3Media’s key objectives were for an internal Media Asset management solution to enhance and expand their ability to manage and control its assets within an AWS environment, streamline its workflows and set up the business for future growth, while keeping pace with fast changing technology.
At the same time the All3Media technical operations team, led by Claire Feeney, needed an intuitive MAM offering with simple access and control interfaces, to manage new content with associated metadata, search the catalogue and securely send finished content and ancillary assets to buyers.
It was important that the MAM solution had the ability to integrate with related systems and services such as marketing and website screening, fulfillment and rights management. Knox Media Hub was the perfect match, and therefore the chosen solution.
